The Nicaraguan Frente Sandinista de Liberacin Nacional (FSLN) had strong support in San Francisco's Mission District. Marches and demonstrations were weekly occurrences in 1978 and 1979. Here is a demo in early 1979 at Garfield Park. Photo: Chris Carlsson
