'''The Emporium used to have a public area on the roof on the western side of the dome. On the top floor you could climb four or five steps to a door that opened to an outdoor area that was carpeted with green astro-turf. There were picnic tables and a real cable car! You could enter the cable car and I suppose that several generations of Emporium employees had their lunch there. The cable car was authentic. I wish that I had taken photos of that when I shot the photos of the dome. I visited that spot many times before the store finally closed'''

Emporium Dome 1987 anaglyph.jpg

The Emporium used to have a public area on the roof on the western side of the dome. I visited that spot many times before the store finally closed
